Accommodations are included in the listed price. You can take a private room, share accommodations with a friend or loved one or request to be set up with a roommate. All rooms include a fan or air conditioning and a private bathroom. Fresh sheets and towels are provided daily as well as free, high speed, wireless internet access.
We are a 5-7 minute walk along the ocean from the center of town, adjacent to the Montezuma River. The white noise of the rushing river and the distance from the town center provides for a more tranquil atmosphere and a break from the action of Montezuma central. This can be especially rewarding during holidays or Thursday through Friday nights when Chico's bar blasts Reggaeton music into the wee hours of the morning.
We have a newly expanded, full kitchen available to you (although we are still waiting on the new floor to be finished). The kitchen includes everything necessary to prepare your own meals, including a refrigerator, freezer, gas stove, gas oven, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, coffee mugs, cups, silverware and various cooking utensils. Because of the high quality and the low cost of the food, however, you may prefer to eat your meals in nearby restaurants. This gives you the opportunity to experience the incredible ambiance Montezuma has to offer as well as the chance to practice your Spanish.
As a special privilege, the independent restaurant adjoining our hotel offers several meal options to our students during the months of November through May. Anything on the breakfast menu plus a drink will cost only $30, for 5 days, M-F. For lunch and dinner, they are currently offering a meal plan in which you may choose either lunch or dinner each day, M-F for $50. Lunch and Dinner come with two food options and include drink. Vegetarians may substitute vegetables for any meat dish. Current meal plan menus are available upon request and meal plans can be purchased upon arrival, directly from the restaurant.
Please note that in the standard accommodations we offer, we offer cool water showers. We will be re-plumbing the entire hotel this upcoming off-season so that hot water will be available come October. In the meantime, more than 90% of students surveyed say that, given the hot temperatures in Costa Rica, the cool water is pleasant and hot water showers are not necessary.
