Whether this is your first attempt to learn the Spanish language or the culmination of a lifelong quest, La Escuela Del Sol is an unbeatable place to study Spanish! "Ticos" (what Costa Ricans call themselves), world famous for their spirit of life and hospitality, are also well known for a "clean" and understandable accent relative to most Spanish speaking countries.
Our Costa Rica Spanish school in Montezuma will give you the chance to practice with locals and improve upon your learning in a fun and supportive environment. All of our teachers are native Spanish speakers who teach a university level curriculum to guarantee you a top of the line education. Those who are still in school may even be able to obtain college credit for their experience.

You will receive 2 hours of classroom instruction and 2 hours of applied learning each day (Monday-Friday). If by chance you are the only person in your level, the private instruction will reduce to 90 minutes per 1-on-1 session or 3 hours per day total if you are the only one in your applied learning session as well.
Applied learning is where you can put your knowledge to use and reinforce what you've already learned. This might mean a scavenger hunt, a board game or a walk on the beach with your instructor. Many times, during your afternoon section, you will have the opportunity to use your new found language skills with Montezuma locals in the center of town with a fun and hands on experience.
What makes our Spanish course better than others?
Many schools try to cram in as many students as possible from week to week, maximizing their profits. But mixing and matching levels often creates inconsistencies and slows down the learning process as everyone has to adjust to new students. We maximize learning by only accepting new students every two weeks (few exceptions apply). In a 3 or 4 week Spanish session, you may have to integrate with new students once, if at all. In a 1 or 2 week Spanish session, the students you start with are your classmates from beginning to end. Inhibitions drop quickly and Spanish conversation excels!
