Whether this is your first attempt to learn the Spanish language or the culmination of a lifelong quest, La Escuela Del Sol is an unbeatable place to study Spanish! “Ticos” (what Costa Ricans call themselves), world famous for their spirit of life and hospitality are also well known for a “clean” and understandable accent relative to most Spanish speaking countries. Our Spanish immersion course in Montezuma will give you the chance to practice with locals and improve upon your learning in a fun and supportive environment. All of our teachers are native speakers who teach a university level curriculum to guarantee you a top of the line education.
Spanish Instruction
You will receive 2 hours of classroom instruction and 2 hours of applied learning each day (Monday-Friday). Applied learning is where you can put your knowledge to use and reinforce what you’ve already learned. This might mean a scavenger hunt, a board game or a walk on the beach with your instructor. Many times, during your afternoon section, you will have the opportunity to use your newfound language skills with Montezuma locals in the center of town with a fun and hands on experience.
What makes our Spanish program better than others?
Many schools try to cram in as many students as possible from week to week, maximizing their profits. But mixing and matching levels often creates inconsistencies and slows down the learning process as everyone has to adjust to new students each week. We maximize learning by only accepting new students every two weeks. In a 3 or 4 week program, you may have to integrate with new students once, if at all. In a 1 or 2 week program, the students you start with are your classmates from beginning to end. Inhibitions drop quickly and Spanish conversation excels!
