This upcoming January 22 - 28, 2012, world renowned poi instructor and fire performer,
Zan Moore of the Instruments Of The Now,
will return to host a special poi workshop in association with La Escuela Del Sol!
Zan is the creator and teacher of "The Encyclo-Poi-dia" DVDs, and
has the most watched Poi video on the internet (803,000 and
counting!). He has taught workshops throughout the United States and
beyond to poi players of all levels. His performances have taken him
to 20 countries so far.
As if that weren't awesome enough, Zan will be joined for both sessions by co-teacher Aurora. She has been
spinning poi for nearly ten years and brings a unique and fun approach
to both the technique of poi and how to incorporate it with authentic
movement of the body. Zan and Aurora will also incorporate exercises of
Partner Poi into the curriculum of each week to push your skills further

The poi retreat will include 6 nights of accommodation at a private
resort. You will receive 2 hours of instructional poi every morning and 2 hours of
practice time and personal instruction every afternoon, M-F.
Also
included is a waterfall hike, a boat trip to the beautiful Isla Tortuga
with snorkeling, a Friday night fire show in Montezuma in which you can
show off your new moves in front of a crowd (optional but awesome!),
transportation to town and back each day (only 1 km, but up a steep
hill), some built in down time to hit the beach, canopy tour, go
surfing, etc., and more. Meals will not be included but every villa has a full kitchen available
to you and we may cook together a bit on the community bbq.
